Even before he took his first math or physics course, Joe Steady was fascinated with analyzing the world around him. This fascination only grew as he continued through his math, physics, and engineering education, picking up new analysis tools along the way. While completing his Mechanical Engineering degree, Joe realized that his true passion was helping others better understand math and science.
After considering several options, Joe selected the STEM TCPCG at UConn Avery Point to pursue his teaching certification in math and physics. His experiences during this program have only strengthened his desire to teach. He looks forward to working as a teacher to help students see math and science as ways to understand and change the world around them.
