Plan of Study Forms

First Year/Juniors (started: 2017-2018)

Plan of Study Due November 1

Instructions

  • Save the plan to your computer and fill out the form electronically
  • Your PeopleSoft degree advisement report shows how you are meeting general education and other requirements
  • Look at your program guidelines to find out which semester you will be taking a particular course (you must list a date for each course on the plan, e.g. F’17 for a fall 2017 course)
  • If you need to change a course on the plan (some course names/numbers are embedded in document) make the correction after you have printed out the copy
    For example, if you are using a transfer course to satisfy a major requirement, it may have a different number
  • Once the plan is completed, print a copy
  • Sign and date the form and have your faculty advisor sign (optional)
  • Bring one copy of the plan along with one copy of your unofficial transcript to Gentry 303 by November 1

Second Year/Seniors (started: 2016-2017)

Plan of Study Due November 3 – You will submit the plan online via PeopleSoft

Please carefully read the instructions below.

The process for graduation and the online final plan of study is below.

1) Register for ALL spring courses

2) Apply for graduation in PeopleSoft (see http://registrar.uconn.edu/graduation/ for more information) – you MUST do this before you can submit plan. If you are finishing your Neag undergraduate requirements in the summer, choose summer graduation. You can still participate in May commencement.

3) Submit final plan – Instructions are on: http://studentadmin.uconn.edu/help/students/final-plan-of-study/ – please do this by November 3.

Additional/Dual Degree Students: When completing the comments section (after clicking on “Submit Final Plan of Study” and “OK”), please make sure you are making comments for the correct degree (degree will be listed on top of comment box, eg. “Comments for Major: Elementary Education”). Once you submit those comments, another comments box will appear for your additional degree. If you no longer wish to complete the dual degree, download Cancellation of Additional degree form and submit to Registrar’s office: http://registrar.uconn.edu/forms/.

Social Studies majors: After clicking on “Submit Final Plan of Study” and “OK,” a comment box will appear. Enter your Related Group courses in this box. This must include 18 credits of social science courses (ANTH, ECON, GEOG, POLS, PSYC, SOCI) and at least 6 credits must be POLS. Enter both department and course number (eg. ANTH 2000).

Third Year/Master’s (started: 2015-2016)

Plan of Study Due November 20

Instructions

  • All students must submit a master’s plan of study by November 20 (this will allow us to make sure you are on track to complete all requirements)
  • All students must have a minimum of 30 credits on their plan
  • Save the plan to your computer and fill out the form electronically; hand written forms will not be accepted
  • Please fill in ALL sections including course numbers and titles, address, city, state and zip.
  • If you are an Elementary Education major you will list that as your subject area major, not your single subject (eg. math, history, science, or English)
  • If you were an honors student and took the research course as an undergraduate, enter “Exempt – took EPSY 5601” in the research section
  • If you are a London, Nottingham or Cape Town program student, enter “EDCI 5830” in the research section; these students can submit plans once they return to the US
  • Sign and date the form and have your faculty advisor sign
  • Bring ONE copy of the plan to Gentry 303 by November 20
